vista installation failure grfilter sys corrupt

Vista Installation failure (grfilter.sys is corrupt)

I installed Vista onto my desktop pc recently. After installation, during boot up it gives an error message: grfilter.sys is corrupt. However, throught safe mode, i got back to windows xp. Any idea how to overcome the grfilter problem??

i am haveing the same problem
any solutions?

Hello, Grfilter.sys I think comes from Aluria. (locate the file and right-click on it, check properties) This could be EarthLink Protection Control Center application for example, they may have other programs that use this as well with similar names. You may need to uninstall this prior to upgrading or contact the company that supplied the program for an update. Thanks, Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
